Hey!
The end of this project has finally come. I've presented to the class all my progress and what I've learned, and it all went very well. Even though I did not complete all of my goals (the achievements one), I still think I progressed a lot and got a lot accomplished in such short of time. Even though the project is over, I will still be playing on the server with Braden and we will try to get all of the achievements, as well as other things. Overall, I think this was a great project, I've enjoyed it very much, and I'm hoping my next project will be just as great.
Thanks again! You are all Minecraft pros now!
Kyle

Ok so I'm going to go over my goals/plans to cross off which ones I've completed. Here they are:
-Create a working Minecraft server in which my friends and I can play on
-Learn how to manage the server, how to update it, and how to edit it
-"Beat the game", or defeat the Enderdragon
-Obtain the best materials/armour/tools in the game
-Have a fully functional house/base that has everything I would need in order to achieve the above goals
- Complete all 33 achievements
I only have 4 achievements left to complete! So close!

Hey!
GUESS WHAT! WE BEAT THE ENDERDRAGON!
Watson, Braden and I all went on together today and we got all our stuff ready and fought and killed him! It was pretty intense. Here are some pictures. They might not be the greatest pictures because I was taking them whilst fighting the dragon, so bear with me.
The Enderdragon through my pumpkin mask (a mask used to hide from the Endermen)
Me shooting the Enderdragon (Take note of the health bar at the top)
The Enderdragon blowing up after we killed it!
Braden and I collecting the experience it dropped
The portal to bring us back home
The Enderdragon egg it dropped! (Kinda useless but cool)
The beginning spawn point for The End and a bridge we made
The End and the portal to bring us home
The "credits" after we killed the dragon and enter into the portal. It was kinda weird and suuuuper long. Don't really know what it's about. Just part of the storyline I think.

I've talked lots about my Minecraft adventure, but I haven't really explained about how I got there. I'm going to show you guys what my server looks like, up and running. Here it is:
I had to blur out some of the numbers and such just for privacy concerns, but that is what a Minecraft server looks like. Up in the top left corner is an application called "PortMap". It is used to give out my ip address for my server to find and use. To the right of that is an application called "LogMeIn Hamachi Launcher". It is used to hook my friends up into my server, if they are logged into my network. To the right of that, in the top right, is just a folder which is the server. It has a bunch of different folders inside of it which give properties and options in the server. And underneath the PortMap window is the server info, which in run out of "Terminal". That window just shows all of the information that is going in and out of the server. (Example: somebody dying, somebody joining the server, lag, someone gaining an achievement)
I will put some links here for you guys if you would like to make your own server the way I did, using the Minituff pre-made folder.

Phase #4
The stronghold (all scrambled)
The Eye of Ender hovering where the portal room should have been
We dug all the way down in hopes of finding it
Looking up from Bedrock at the hovering Eye of Ender
The island where the stronghold is located under
The ladder leading to the surface (that we made after for easy access)
The tube leading to the portal room with original island in the backroom

Progress Report!
We found the End portal! It was quite a task though.. First, we used the Eye of Enders to locate the stronghold, but once we got into the stronghold, we couldn't find the portal room, and the stronghold was weird and scrambled around. We were very confused. After spending some time exploring we concluded that it was a bug. We did some research and found out that if you made a server in Minecraft version 1.6.4, some of the terrain would be messed up when the newer version, 1.7.4, came out. This research said that strongholds could be all scrambled up, but the portal room would still be in that general area. So, then we spent about 3 hours just digging around in the stronghold to find the portal room. Then finally, Mr W happened to just randomly dig up into the room! We were so happy. Turns out it was in a very funny spot. In my next post I'll show some pictures.

Progress Report!
We FINALLY got Mr. W on our server with us! So relieving. When he joined we just showed him around and got used to being on the server together, and then we went exploring. As we were exploring we found some new biomes (terrains) and Mr. W told us about them.
The next time we all go on together we will try to do some major progress with him to help reach our end goal. I'm looking forward to it!

Progess Report!
Fixed the server and got my friend back onto it. Now just have to get my Mentor (Mr. W) to join. About to go Minecraft crazy!

Hey!
Sorry that I haven't posted in a long time, but I've been really busy with sports and school, so I haven't gotten much of a chance to work on this project. My sports are finally finished, so I should start getting right back into the swing of things in the near future. In addition to having limited time, I have also been having some server problems that stumped me. I will do some research and try to see what the problem could be. Looking forward to playing some Minecraft again!

Phase #1
When I first spawned into my server world it was not in an ideal location, so I wandered around until I found a spot that I liked. Then I started to make my semi permanent base or a super quick, yet functional base. Here are the pictures:
Hey it's me!
Me again! (Sorry for the crouch. The crouch button is used in the command to take a screenshot, so I will always be crouching in my pictures)
My house/base area
Inside
The area that both our bases are on

Progress Report!
I have made the server, got my friend onto it, and have started building my base already. I am going to separate my picture taking into phases of important changes of my base/resources/progress. I obviously cannot show everything, but I will try to pick out what I think is important, and show you that.
